My Pregnancy: Week 30
Wow. Only 10 more weeks to go! I'm so anxious to meet this little man. Anyway, I got the results from the glucose test. The doctor didn't tell me if I have diabetes or not, but from what he said, I think I'm borderline. I don't have to take insulin or go on a really strict diet, but I need to lay off the really sugary stuff. Really sugary stuff= what makes my world go round. This is gonna be really hard for me, but at least its better than pricking my finger and taking shots of insulin everyday. I'd like to say thank you to everyone for your support and concern through all of this. I know it was never a life or death situation, but it was still scary for me nonetheless and I appreciate it. I really am so grateful.
Here is what babycenter.com has to say at week 30:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face.
